Abstract
The Pediatric Emergency Care Applied Research Network (PECARN) developed a clinical decision rule (CDR) to identify pediatric patients at very low risk of clinically important intra-abdominal injury (CIIAI) following blunt trauma. The intent is to minimize the use of computed tomography (CT). Most sites involved in derivation and validation of the CDR were pediatric tertiary care facilities. We aimed to assess the performance of the CDR in a non-pediatric academic center.
