Call for Abstracts: Deadline March 20, 2026

We encourage faculty, trainees, students and staff to submit new, exciting or ongoing research work. Research could include basic science and clinical research, case reports, and/or QI.

All projects require documentation of IRB review.

In May, 2025, SCHC had one of it’s most successful Research Days. Fifty-nine abstracts were submitted to the online portal. Most abstracts were clinical research, but there were QI Projects, Qualitative and Basic Research, Advocacy, Medical Education, as well as Case Reports and Series. Abstracts were submitted by learners across the continuum; from high school, college and medical school, nursing, residency, fellowship, and attendings. This year we hope to continue our growth and exceed 70 abstracts.

For abstracts submitted for Case Reports, Quality Improvement projects, or projects involving secondary analysis of an existing de-identified dataset, you must upload the IRB Not Human Research Determination letter that includes: - Principle Investigator's name - Project title - Name of the IRB that reviewed the project - IRB determination number

IMPORTANT: Abstracts will not be forwarded for Committee Review without documentation of IRB review.

The Submission deadline is Monday, March 20, 2026 at 11:59pm. Once you submit your abstract, you will receive an email confirmation.
